Vintage Industrial X-Ray Timer in Black Metal (c.1940s)
This unique black metal interval timer is full of character!
Once used as an x-ray film timer, it can now be repurposed as a timer for other things! Use it in the kitchen, or to set time limits on your kid's computer usage - the bell is sure to get their attention!
To use, turn the knob on the front of the timer to the left to set the desired time, then pull down the arm on the side of the timer to start it. If needed, gently wind the timer up using the dial on the back - like any timer, be careful not to over-wind. The timer will start ticking and the short and long hands on the timer face will begin to move. The arm on the side of the timer moves back up into position as the time ticks off. When the time is up, a bell is sounded!
This version of the X-ray Interval Timer is a hard-to-find version with the unique metal arm on the side. The arm is round and has a round finial at the top (unlike newer versions that have just a straight piece of metal for an arm).
